Snowboarding for the first time

On Sunday, Aunt Felisa and Uncle Jake took us snowboarding at Swiss Valley (40 minutes from our home) for the first time.  What brave souls they are!  Mom and Dad stayed home with Nicolas and worked on putting things away from the flood.  

Felisa and Jake got us signed up for the snowboarding lessons.  William wanted nothing to do with skis - he wanted to hang with the big guys, so Aunt Felisa had to do the class with William to give a little help to the instructor.  We loved it but didn't realize how hard it was.

Ice Skating

Gibson had family night this last week at an outdoor ice skating rink and pizza following a  local place here in South Bend.  The boys had a blast and have asked us every day since when they can go again.

BIG DAY...

Only hours now until we know if it is a son or daughter.  This day brings back so many memories with each pregnancy in finding out what Jack and Will would be and how it is just a joyful day for the parents as well as for the family.  Seeing the baby grow in the photos from the first set of photos, movement and just amazement.  

After learning Jack was going to be a boy I remember crying to Tim and asking him how are we going to raise our son to be all he can be in this life and loving God.  Tim the calm one said it will all be okay - one day at a time.   Leading up to Williams appointment I remember be so sure he would be a girl and after finding out it was a boy I had those same feelings with William as I did with Jack.  

Now we wait for number three and I wonder how will this little person fit into our family and how he/she will change our lives?  Tim is wearing pink today - he thinks it is a girl.  William told me we will find out that there is one of each.  A boy and a girl in my tummy.  I had to gently tell him that we only have one in my tummy.  Jack says he thinks it is a boy, "but there is a 50/50 chance and I'm okay either way".  Both boys went to school to day wanted out early but I told them they can go all day.  

For me...I'm not sure and not wanting to make a guess.  Made a guess with Will and was blessed with another son so I'll just wait to see what God has in store for our family at 3:40 pm.

3 Days & Counting...

In 3 days we are hoping this little one in mommy's tummy will show off  for us. We are all eager  to find out what HE or SHE is. 

The boys thought it was on this past Friday and were not very happy with me when I told them we had a couple more days.

It has been a long January waiting for this day.

William had some fun with the box tonight and made a Wall-E costume.  He kept calling it "Rawll-E".  We just love his creativity!

The snow keeps coming...

We have been getting snow since Friday morning and it just keeps coming.  William and I were in Fort Wayne to see my mother in the hospital on that Friday, but we ended staying longer. One my mom needing a little more TLC and the roads were so bad between Fort Wayne and South Bend.  The road finally cleaned up enough to come home Sunday morning.  

While Will and I hung with Mema, Papa RD, Papa Crossgrove, Felisa & Nicolas; Tim and Jack were playing in the snow.  They built a fort, went sleding and two ND games (hockey & basketball)  

The next snow storm came in last night and following that was lake snow which that always dumps a lot too.  It has been snowing for 12 hours now...how much snow?  I couldn't tell you, but I do know they are calling for another 4-6" tonight and our fire pit in the back yard is snow covered (no smore's for now).  We have high winds this afternoon which is causing drifting as well.  The one thing for sure is that the boys are having a blast playing in.  Here are some photos of them playing.
